WhitCorp started as an engineering project to create something fantastic, sharing ingenuity along the way!
Dee Whitcomb (Founder, me, she, her, hers…) started my ‘maker’ journey in 2015 when I worked at Aleph Objects, creators of the LULZBOT 3D Printers. That engrained the open source way of thinking in me and I stay true to that to this day! Now I teach 3D Printing & Additive Manufacturing at Front Range Community Collage in Colorado! I really enjoy sharing the experiences and knowledge I have with others and work hard to keep a nurturing environment for me, my team, and my students!
ICO Scanner Project
My 3d scanning project started when I was taking the 3D scanning class I now teach, this was when I identified as male and had a few scans of me from in class. Fast forward to today, I’ve transitioned and identify and female! I now have more scans of me along my transitioning journey! It it really amazing to see yourself from the past as a 3D object, especially with the changes I’ve made in my own life and I want to share that incredible feeling with others!

About me:
My name is Dee Whitcomb (pronouns: she, her, hers) founder of WhitCorp Labs! I started working at Aleph Objects in 2015 building 3D printers and was hooked! I wanted to know more about 3D printing so I took the CAD program at Front Range Community Collage in 2017 to improve my skills, and now I teach the same 3D printing classes I took along with 3D scanning and other CAD software. I loved the industrial side of 3D printing but something was missing in my personal life. During the pandemic I transitioned from male to female and started to do what I really loved… Creating!!! Being the genuine version of me lead me to running my own Esty shop and having some of my designs on RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2022! Who I am defines everything I do and It took a lot of work and effort to be happy with myself in order to bring something amassing to the world! I still like to create things and I want to share what I do and how I do it with the world and share ingenuity!
